It could take some getting used to and I really need to incorporate raw breads into the equation as well as find additional raw proteins, but a raw diet is something tolerable.
Not that I didn't crave a cheeseburger on the way to work or anything. However, I do that pretty much every day!
I'm excited to begin this new food adventure. It won't be strict. I will still eat things that aren't raw (just not in my initial 3 day detox). However, this is making me mindful of what I put into my mouth. It's making me chew my food. It's making me realize how I actually enjoy eating healthy food.
I think I might start eating raw during the week and letting myself enjoy certain foods on the weekend that aren't raw. But I am going to put certain things on restriction: white flour, sugar, excessively fatty foods.
I think it's exciting that the two things I'm craving most right now are popcorn and mozzarella cheese. Granted, I have those things in my house and they are staring at me...but the ice cream in the freezer? Doesn't even appeal. Fruit is a beautiful thing.
Well, it's almost time for me to eat an apple, so I'd better get moving.
