After a weekend of healthy eating, very little booze, good sleep and exercise, I'VE FOUND IT!
"It" is many things...today it is progress. I lost 4 pounds. It's amazing what exercise can do. I'm all about it. Getting as much done around the house so I can hit the gym after work and bike or walk. It helps that I have 700 pages to read for my book club. Where else should that happen but on a bike at the gym?
Another little helpful item - if I have carrots and celery around and they are the only things to quickly snack on, I will snack on them and (shocker) like them.
Sounds like until I master some weight loss, I will have solely vegetables in my life. I'm okay with that. I also realized that I should eat more fruit...a banana can hold me for a little while. I'm not much of a sweet eater but every now and again, some delish, fresh fruit to nosh on is delightful - especially in these warm summer months. Sign me up for cold melon, pears, apples, and oooohhhh, frozen grapes.
My Memorial Day Weekend was just what the doctor ordered. I am ready:
EXERCISE DAILY - in some form, even if for only 20 minutes.
EAT VEGETABLES. No more popcorn at night. Not until the dress fits.
DRINK LESS BOOZE. Doing this leads to a multitude of healthier habits.
ENJOY FRUIT, especially when it is hot.
I'm really happy that it's summer!!! It'd be awesome to feel good enough to wear a tank top.
