And I enjoyed every moment.
Dinner parties and house guests don't always lend themselves to exceptional eating habits.
I had a dinner party (Wednesday) and cooked a healthy meal - salmon, brown rice and veggies. My guest brought pate as an appetizer. I ate it. It was delicious. I skipped dinner. Well, I had a taste testing bite but didn't eat a meal. Pate was my meal. Not to mention the late night run to get the ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies. Fortunately, I don't have a sweet tooth so that was three bites.
Last night, there were leftover Chicken in a Biscuit crackers. I ate those and the leftover brown rice. We almost ordered in on top of it but I put the kibosh on it and made my house guest some dinner - to save myself.
Feeling pretty good. Haven't weighed myself but feel like progress is occurring.
We shall see.
I am finally home most of this weekend. It's easier to control in my own environment. Not to mention, I miss being here. It's been over a month since I've done my own thing on a weekend. Lunch plans with the girls on Saturday - I already know what I'm eating. If you ever get a chance, go to Real Seafood Company in Ann Arbor, the food is great but I CRAVE their tossed salad with basil parmesan vinagrette (on the side.)
Dinner plans on Sunday are to eat loads of sashimi which in my mind, as long as all of it isn't salmon, is "free." Okay, not free, but fair game!!
